Accessorize. Accessorize. Accessorize.

The best way to refresh your wardrobe without buying an entirely new wardrobe (something I wish I could do everyday) is to ACCESSORIZE. I'm loving this necklace from bebe.com. It's chic, affordable and a great statement piece. I'd wear it with a white "wife beater," as I call them (perhaps I've watched one too many episode of Cops). I would pair it with jeans & stilettos. After all, who doesn't have several pairs of jeans and stilettos in their closet? If you don't, please stop reading this blog. Immediately.

Shop til you drop

Shopping is pretty much the only thing that makes me forget to eat. I get so focused on what I am doing that I totally zone out. Ever felt like that? Or am I an addict? LOL.
Right now I'm totally obsessing about this Armani Exchange blouse. Perfect for a high waisted pencil skirt or under a blazer... or even with jeans!

Welcome to the world of blogging

I forgot how fun this was!!

Holy Crap

This is taken from dailycandy.com:

Holy Crap
sh*t happens!

Every morning when you wake up at your beau’s …

You say: “Want me to run and get us some coffee?”
You think: I must get to a Starbucks loo stat.

He says: “Aw, thanks, baby, I’d love a latte.”
He thinks: Why won’t this chick poop in my john?

You’ll overcome your bathroom shyness with the Breeza, a deodorizing toilet seat. The four-stage process removes 95.8 percent of bathroom odors. (And with a number that specific, you know it’s scientifically tested.)

First the sensor tells the seat you’ve plopped down. Next a super-quiet fan sucks up the stink and sends it through a carbonated filter. Finally the clean air passes through a replaceable fragrance vent and comes back out smelling like roses (or at least not like caca).

The Breeza also comes in a warm version with three temperature settings, so you can warm your buns while you drop off the kids.

Doodie’s calling.

LA LA Land

So, I've been here for exactly 6 weeks, 3 days, 1 hour and 20 minutes.
hmph.

I've loved every minute of it! (Except for those few moments each day when I was worried about not being able to pay bills). When I moved here, I was practically two checks away from bankruptcy. lol. Every morning, I would get up and feel relieved that I had no place to be. Suddenly, an overwhelming urge would hit me — I felt like going to the corner of my room, sucking my thumb and crying like a baby. Who quits a comfortably salaried position and leaves their family for the sunshine and no job???

I did. And I still have no "job," but I must say I've done pretty well for myself... I just sent off my third invoice as an Independent Contractor/Freelancer. Only ONE of those invoices was bigger than any paycheck I have ever received. Ah, well... not bad for my first month as a "non-employee."

There are some perks to being a "non-employee" too...
I am able to lay on the beach on a weekday and drink a Corona for lunch (I'll post bikini pics after I've worked on my tan)! I can also go out for breakfast at 11 am on a Monday in my pajamas (Pajama pics coming soon too)! Most importantly, I say who. I say when and I say how much. Aside from all you rich mo-fo's, how many of you can say you do that without playing hookie from work?

Of course there are drawbacks:
.I have no job security.
.I might not get paid.
.I must pay self-employment taxes.
.I may be personally liable for business debts.
.I have no employer-provided benefits.
.I have no unemployment insurance benefits.
.I have no employer-provided workers' compensation.
.I have few labor law protections (I'm still working at 11:26 pm).

So, tomorrow I have an interview for a 9 to 5 and BCBG wants to talk to me again next week!
:o)

What should I do??????
Stay tuned for more.
